West Yorkshire RCC ERG1, AWR401B, a Bristol RELH6G with ECW DP47F body, new in 1964, seen negotiating Bull Green roundabout at Barum Top, Halifax in the unfortunate shadow of the car park, being closely followed by one of their MW DPs.
Beyond, a Hebble Reliance/Alexander Y-type takes the tight right turn from Silver Street into Cow Green - necessary at the time due to a nonsensical one-way system - mostly likely inbound from Leeds en route for Rochdale and heading for Crossfield Bus Station, just visible in the far distance.
Bull Green junction has been remodelled many times over the years, this roundabout later being replaced by the present much smaller one which if current proposals go ahead is due to go altogether, replaced by a conventional junction with traffic lights. Whitaker's 'Griffin' pub has in more recent times been rechristened as the almost embarrassingly stupid 'Bow Legged With Brass' - why can't they leave long established traditional pub names alone ?
