West Wales 52, HWO336, was one of the well-known Guy Arab IIIs with Duple lowbridge bodies bought by Red & White Services of Chepstow.
New as fleet number 36 in the dark red and white livery it was fairly quickly numbered L1349 and later received the Tilling red and cream livery, at first with cream upper deck windows and central band, but later just with the central band. The first of the batch to be withdrawn in 1965, it was one of three bought by West Wales and was apparently withdrawn some fifteen months before this photo. The bus to the left is ex-North Western Weymann-bodied Leyland Tiger Cub KDB688.
The Guy is advertising Felinfoel Bitter, brewed in the eponymous district of Llanelli and still going strong, I'm pleased to say. The effect of a good night on this beer was described by a slight mis-pronunciation of the name as "FeelinFoul".
