Western S.M.T. 512, CCS410, was a Leyland PD1 which had been new in 1949 with a Strachans L27/26R body and was one of a batch of nine (CCS403-411) new that year although CCS410/1 did not enter service until 1950.
All of them were rebodied between November 1952 and January 1953 with Eastern Coachworks L27/26R bodies, 512 being rebodied in January 1953. Seen here in Ardrossan, it continued in service until 1967 when it passed to Millburn Motors (dealer), Glasgow.
