At the end of 1971 only 20 Guy Wulfrunians remained at West Riding, and on a Sunday in November 1971 we attempted to line as many as possible up for a photograph in the yard at Belle Isle. On the day however only fourteen were available, with two out on service, and four in the workshops or being serviced.

In the end we could only fit eleven in the yard where we set them all up with different destinations. We had eight of the THL batch and three of the BHL-C batch and from left to right we have 894 showing Wakefield 10, 1020 Leeds 10, 896 Horbury 23, 904 Kettlethorpe 10, 901 Ossett 20, 1018 Pontefract 70, 1009 Bottomboat 63, 895 Jumbles Lane 14, 891 Bradford 57, 900 Dewsbury 70, and 912 Rockley Rd 10. Note how as they are parked up they have started to settle as the air suspension leaks off with 1018 noticeably dropped at the front offside.
