Awaiting duties beside its owner's office and Royal Blue agency in Yeovil is Bristol LS5G / ECW B45F new in March 1954, Southern National 1705, OTT59 in downseated form B41F.
It was sold to a dealer six months later and then Creamline, Tonmawr 11/71, fully seated again 3/72, Silcox, Pembroke Dock 124 in 3/73. 24 years of PSV life was long in those days - scrapping was 4/78.
My sole Southern National photo was nominally not so at all; no doubt at the behest of NBC, vehicles merged into Western National in November 1969, OTT59 was fleet number 1705 there also. The shot was taken on a walk between Pen Mill and Junction stations, quite a walk after closure of the rail shuttle. Perfect country town then by the looks of things, Royal Blue coaches calling enroute the icing on the cake. I prefer Middle Street then to the pedestrianised version of 2016, surrounded by car parks with frenetic traffic nearby.
