701-732JHY comprised a batch of Bristol FSF6G/FSF6B with ECW H34/26F bodies new to Bristol Omnibus and subsidiaries in 1960/61. When BOC needed diverted FLFs in 1967, twenty of this shorter model went to Western and Southern National, though at least five returned with Trowbridge depot in January 1970. 1019, 720JHY was the final one numerically on moving to Southern National, a Gardner engined example new as Bristol 6021 in February 1961.
It stayed as 1019 in the same territory on merger with Western National in November 1969. The Lodekka passed to non-PSV work in Cardigan of all places for two years from 1979.
It seems to be carrying some kind of rather rowdy young group just arrived on the "Caesarea" which left St Helier, Jersey at 08:15.
To its rear British Rail Class 03 shunter 2086 awaits departure on the first leg of the 15:50 to London Waterloo (diverted via Yeovil) supplying own sole experience of the famous street running shown on this photo of 2059.
