Westcliff's first Bristols arrived in 1936 and were GO5Gs with lowbridge Brush bodies. After the war all were rebuilt, some with Beadle bodies similar to JN3229, the rest with standard postwar ECW bodies. JN6896 was one of the latter, seen here late in its life as Eastern National 1229 outside Harwich Town Hall on 12th August 1957.
Many of Westcliff's earlier Bristols migrated to the Colchester area when they were replaced in Southend by new Lodekkas.
