Wigan 135, GJP16, was a Leyland PD3/2 with Northern Counties H40/30F body new in November 1960, last of six with the usual semi-random fleet numbers resulting from gap filling.
It's seen between homes of its spiritual and earthly makers in 1973 with exactly one year of Corporation life still to go.
As you can work out, it passed to Greater Manchester PTE on 1 April 1974 as 3219 on local government reorganisation. It served a respectable eighteen years to October 1978. Registrations ran GJP8-19 but the first three and last three had Massey bodies.
The lamp standard apparently on the roof suggests this is an opportunistic shot, I made the conscious decision to maintain real life without its erasing now possible.
