Walsall's unique Daimler CRC6-36 with Northern Counties H51/35D bodywork, XDH56G, was ordered in the Spring of 1968 and delivered in the December. It was one of the last buses received by the Corporation as a separate entity as, within ten months, the undertaking would come under the umbrella of the West Midlands PTE.
It is seen here in St Paul's Bus Station with the Transport Offices in the background. It was about to set out on its regular route to Birmingham via Great Barr (Scott Arms), Perry Barr and Six Ways, Aston. This route was operated jointly with Midland Red.
