United Services DWW433H, a Leyland PSU3A/4R with Plaxton DP51F, emerges from the darkness of Doncaster's Northern Bus Station with a full load and heads for Wakefield. This bus was new in 1970 to W R & P Bingley of Kinsley who, by this stage, were by far the major operator in the United Services set-up with 11/15ths of the service. Cooper Bros of South Kirkby operated the remaining 4/15ths.
Cooper Bros sold out to Bingley on 3 April 1977 and a fortnight later Bingley was acquired by WYPTE bringing to an end over 50 years of United Services.
