South Yorkshire Motors 81, TWY8, is the now-preserved Albion CX39N dating from 1950. It started life as a Burlingham bodied coach numbered 57 and was rebodied in 1958 with a Roe L27/26RD body.
It is seen entering Leeds Central Bus Station about to perform an evening peak duty to Pontefract. The appearance of this Albion (and its occasional sisters) was always a treat as they represented a make rarely seen in Leeds. I fondly remember riding this on the full Doncaster service, sitting on the front bench upstairs and loving every minute. I recently had the pleasure of riding on it at a local rally and its charms had not diminished.
