As noted elsewhere, high floor coaches were rarely used on local services but did sometimes stray. Here 568, H372 PHK, is about to depart for Belgrave Road on the 29 on September 12, 1998. A clue to the reason on this particular occasion can be seen in the form of the person in red overalls and yellow high-vis jacket on the front platform of the Fleetline behind 568 – he is a Vehicle Inspectorate vehicle examiner, and spot checks were being made on buses in service, resulting in some being taken off the road with defect or prohibition notices!
