Route X1

Leopard/Plaxton coach 202, LBN 202P, at Aldgate en route for Reading on the very first journey, October 6th 1980. It had just picked up a TV news crew and the introduction of this “revolutionary” new service was to feature on the 6 o’clock news that night. Initially, the 2 P registered coaches, 201/2, were only used as a back up to the 4 later V examples, 205-8.
