Another of the first batch of Southend's Fleetlines, 348, WJN348J, on route 9 for Eastwood Rise. It is in Eastwoodbury Lane passing the Saxon built Eastwood Church, visible on the left.
This spot was even then not as rural as it looks - one runway of Southend Airport ended close to the road about 100 yards behind the bus and there were traffic lights to stop traffic when aircraft were taking off. The warning sign for this is visible just behind the bus.
