Peter Cackett Collection

Southend Transport buses have not often appeared at the Hullbridge, Anchor terminus, but at one time ST had 2 car workings on the otherwise Eastern National operated 22. Peter Cackett prepares to climb into the cab of Lowlander 332, 7096HJ, for the return run to Shoebury.
The intermediate blind display of "Prittlewell, Eastwood, Rayleigh" was one of the more vague entries on ST's usually very precise blinds but this allowed it to be used for a variety of services using the Rayleigh Road corridor where ST did not have many workings at the time.
