Southend Lowlander 328, 7092HJ, is seen here at Eastwood Rise on service 23A to Leigh Station. With the "No change given" plate on the radiator grille folded down, this was presumably a crew operated journey.
Neither the bus nor the service now survive, the once very busy 23A having become uneconomic to run and Southend Borough Council no longer having any funds to subsidise socially necessary bus services; a sad state of affairs.
