Southend buses at rest in London Road Garage in 1964. Where possible, the newest buses were 'rested' on Sundays as they worked the longest Car Schedules on Monday to Saturday. The earliest PD3s accumulated the most mileage of any fleet members, chased by the 'F' reg Leopards which worked hard seven days a week. In this shot PD3 313, PHJ952 is on the right with two Lowlanders in the row to its left including 332, 7096HJ and to its left, a rebodied ex LT Daimler CW and one of Southend's Daimler CWs, again rebodied by Massey
