A rear view of another of the Southend ex-LT Daimlers, 275, HGF905, at Priory Park on 24th June 1955.
It is on one of Southend's most obscure routes, the 28c. This was a works service for Ecko Works and consisted of one journey in each direction between Priory Park and Kursaal via Seaway. It was originally a trolleybus route and did not survive long as a bus route, other routes which served the Ekco Works more directly providing a more convenient service. Partly dismantled trolleybus overhead is still visible. The large shelter to the left of the bus was originally provided for trolleybus passengers and was still there last time I was in the area. The new building on the corner was obviously still not quite finished.
