Southend open topper 247, FOP340, a Daimler CWA6, new to Birmingham as a CWG5 in 1943, bought by Southend in 1955 and converted to open top the following year.
247 is seen here in its original open top form before a wind shield was added upstairs, about to be passed by Southend PD2 299, MHJ921, working the normal seafront route.
