Southend 237, BJN95, an AEC Regent II with Massey L27/28R body, new in September 1946. It was withdrawn from service and scrapped in 1958.

The film being shown at the Odeon (see the higher resolution picture) is "The Steel Trap" starring Joseph Cotten and Theresa Wright which came out in 1952 which would date this picture to that or the following year. Later a three piece destination blind was fitted as part of the co-ordination scheme with Eastern National that came into effect on 2nd January 1955.
