Southend Corporation Transport
Trams and Trolleybuses

Rear view of the Southend trolleybus 123, JN4373, being tilt tested at the English Electric works in Preston. 123 was a unique vehicle, an AEC Q type trolleybus, one of only five built and the only one to receive a lowbridge body.

Note that compared to other photos of Southend trolleys undergoing the tilt test, by 1934 EE had built a proper tilting platform.
