Southend Corporation trolleybus 118 undergoing the tilt test at the EE works in Preston prior to final finish and delivery. 118, JN2818 was a AEC 661T with English Electric L24/24R body, new in 1933
The "tilt indicator" attached to the underneath of 118 shows just under 30 degrees but the restraining ropes, there just in case to stop it toppling over, look fairly taut as if they are taking some of the load.
