Former Salford City Transport 291, MRJ291F, bearing its SELNEC fleet number 3137 although still wearing Salford livery. It was a Leyland PDR1/1 with MCCW H44/33F bodywork which was new in 1968 and which passed to SELNEC on 1 November 1969.
It is seen in Victoria Bridge Street, just on the Salford side of the River Irwell. The roofs of some of the stands of Victoria Bus Station can just be seen over the wall behind the bus with a SELNEC-liveried 'decker pulling out. The vast bulk of the former Manchester Exchange Station (closed 5 May 1969 but still mainly intact at this time) dominates the background.
