Strachans bodied Guy 'Arab' V demonstrator 888DUK is the subject of much discussion as it leaves Pevensey Road bus station, Eastbourne on Brighton service 12 whilst on loan to Southdown.
Pevensey Road bus station was opened in 1929 upon the site of The Old Lion Brewery and though not used as a bus station for many years, the buildings still exist and are just about recognisable. The PD3 (right), 943 (6943CD) is one of the semi-automatic PD3/5s which were allocated to Eastbourne for the 12 but they did not like hills and were soon banished to the flatter lands around Chichester and Portsmouth. Here it is on the long lost 93 service to Polegate and Jevington. The M&D PD2/12 is Heathfield Pool service.
