New as Southdown 196 in 1938, EUF196, a Leyland TD5 with Beadle L26/26R body had passed to Hutfield, Gosport in March 1956, who fitted platform doors, to T.P.E. (dlr), Macclesfield in 1966 and to 11th Southgate Scout Group in August 1966.

It is seen here with the 18th Southgate Venture Scouts at Gilwell Park with the upper deck converted to sleeping accommodation. Did it ever go to Istanbul ?? It was recorded as still being in use in August 1971.
