Southdown 1144, XUF144, a Leyland Tiger Cub PSUC1/2 with Weymann Fanfare C37F body, new in 1960.
I don't quite know why a Southdown coach would be parked on spare ground near Queensbury (which is between Halifax and Bradford), though Southdown coaches did stop off in Halifax overnight on some of their extended tours and I remember seeing the Fanfares and Cavaliers parked in Princess Street outside the White Swan Hotel. Perhaps the driver wasn't afforded the same luxury as the passengers and had to find cheaper B&B accomodation elsewhere, or maybe he just happened to have a friend or relation that happened to live at Queensbury. We may never know.
