Stratford Blue 55, 5455WD, a Leyland Tiger Cub with Marshall DP41F bodywork, a posed photograph taken outside Mary Arden's house at Wilmcote, soon after delivery in 1962.
The five 1962 Tiger Cubs with Marshall bodywork were the last of 14 Tiger Cubs to join the fleet. No. 49 (5449WD) was a 45-seat bus but the other four were 41-seat dual-purpose vehicles (50-52/55; 5450-5452/5455 WD). 55 had more embellishment than the others, making it readily identifiable in the photo of Stratford Bus Station recently posted by Stuart Little, and was regarded as a reserve vehicle for the coach fleet, often appearing as a duplicate on Midland Red express services in its early years. In later years it was relegated to service bus work and was renumbered to 53 in 1969.
