Red & White bought twenty-one of the Bristol RESL6Ls in 1967. They were some of the few RESLs built with this style of body. The whole batch was initially allocated to Aberdare where they replaced the Lydney/BBW-bodied Royal Tigers and became a feature of bus operation in the area. They were powerful, fast and musical to boot - I loved them. By the date of this photo most of them had been withdrawn and RS3667, LAX108E, was one of the few survivors. It was not resting in its old age and is seen here on the marathon Cardiff to Swansea service that ran via Aberdare. When new it was numbered RS867.
