Afternoon shadows notwithstanding, popular HWO341 is still worthy of a second slide. New to Red & White as L1649 in February 1950, the Guy Arab III 6LW with Duple L27/26RD body prepares to convey me from Bury St Edmunds to Sudbury Bus Station via Lavenham and Acton.
It was the earliest purchase of HWO333/9/41 by Chambers of Bures, in May 1967, also its final operator.
On higher resolution two modern coaches, the nearest from Grey-Green of London N16, seem to be taking advantage of good parking and bringing business to the market town. Also competing with other attractions are a late 1950s ?Bedford coach and a double-decker which members may know better.
