Standerwick 44, NRN606, a Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1, was new to Ribble as one of the new generation of double deck coaches, known as the "Gay Hostesses" for the north west to London services. She was later transferred to Standerwick - some also went to Scout - and we see her in Morecambe Road, Lancaster in June 1970.
She's heading for London on the Keswick, Kendal, Morecambe, Lancaster and London run on a Saturday morning, at the head of a motley collection. One of the Northern Counties Atlanteans fon the X42 to Blackpool follows, a West Yorkshire RE coach on the X88 is next, on her way home to Leeds, and a Leopard/Panorama brings up the rear, probably also on the London run.
