Ribble 246, CRN996, had been numbered 2796 when new in 1950, being renumbered 246 in 1951, and was a Leyland PS2/5 with a Burlingham B35F body.
It is seen here in Savile Street, Leeds on a Blackpool service in the days when queues stretched around the block for weekend express services to the coast and anything that would turn a wheel was rolled out to cope.
