What could have been ....

** BEWARE not a real photo ** - the third and final rejigged Alexander body (you can have too much of a good thing !) concerns the equally ugly (in my opinion) fully fronted version for Ribble, such as 1852, UCK852, seen here.
Once again I have raised the height of the upper deck side windows to the same height as the front windows to get rid of that very heavy looking deep roof. Around the cab I have lowered the front windscreens and side door/windows by about three inches, to improve appearance, whilst hopefully not compromising the drivers view forwards. Judging by the height of the steering wheel viz-a-viz the upper edge of the windscreen, I would say the drivers view forward is acceptable. That's it really and in production terms I do not thinkit would have cost Alexanders an "arm and a leg" to achieve with a vast improvement in appearance (in my opinion).
