Rhondda 457, 457KTG, was an AEC Regent V 2D3RA with Metro-Cammell H39/31F bodywork, one of a batch of twenty.
After withdrawal, it saw further service in Cornwall with Ede's of Par and Truronian and has, thankfully, been preserved. It can now be seen at the Rhondda Heritage Park which occupies the site of the former Lewis Merthyr Colliery at Trehafod, between Pontypridd and Porth. which were delivered in 1961.
