1411PT was one of a pair of Bedford SB1s with Plaxton C41F bodies bought by OK Motor Services in January 1961. After withdrawal in November 1972 both this and sister coach 1410PT passed to Greensitt & Barrett (builders) of Blaydon-on-Tyne. It is pictured on a gloomy day on the parking area adjacent to the depot in Bishop Auckland.
The Reliance alongside, YPT156, with 41-seat dual-purpose bodywork by Plaxton, had been new to General (Atkinson) of Chester-le-Street in February 1958. Sold to R I Davies of Tredegar in July 1965, it made the journey back north just eight months later when bought by the OK; after four more years' service in the north-east, it was sold for scrap in June 1970.
