Northern General took over the Consett Independent Venture in 1969. It was run as a separate subsiduary until 1975 when it was absorbed into the Northern company. This Leyland Leopard with Alexander bodywork, 295, RPT295K, was delivered in 1971 and continued the buying policy of the company prior to its sale.
It is seen waiting to leave Newcastle. It wears NBC local coach livery with a very non standard position for the fleet name!
