This is a photograph taken in the grounds of Carlyle Road Central Works and shows Midland Red D10 Mk II 4944, 1944HA, when brand new and prior to delivery to Sheepcote Street Garage, Birmingham where she joined the other D10, 4943 from May 1961. 4944 was built with a double staircase and twin doors, however the second set were removed in November 1962. She finished her days at Stafford Garage, was withdrawn in January 1973 and scrapped.
