Midland Red 2055, 436GAC, seen in Stratford was a Leyland PSU3/3R Leopard with a Duple Northern Alpine Continental C49F body.
When new as Stratford Blue 59 in 1963 it had a glazed front dome and a standard inward opening front hinged coach door. In September 1969 it was renumbered 55 and in 1970 was converted for one-man operation, fitted with the roof mounted destination box and a slightly recessed pivoted entrance door. It passed to Midland Red in December 1970, was numbered 2055 and was withdrawn in November 1972 being sold to City of Oxford in February 1973.
