Morecambe & Heysham Corporation 54, KTF583, an AEC Regent III 9612E with Park Royal H30/26R body, new in 1949.
Despite these M&H AECs having substantially built four-bay metal-framed bodies, as opposed to my home town Halifax's cheaply built five-bay composite ones, they had the same frontal profile and character and were mechanically the same. Consequently I always enjoyed visiting Morecambe in those good old days and felt very much at home there - apart I suppose from Halifax not having sea, or for that matter being nothing like Morecambe in any other way at all.
