A poor shot of Manchester 3380, GNA454, a 1940 Leyland TD5 with an H28/26R Crossley body on Metro Cammell frames which was the only pre-war bus to be spray painted into the red livery, thus becoming the only one to have a red roof. New as 1380 it became 3380 in 1946 as a result of the renumbering scheme.
Some of the post-war 7' 6" buses received red roofs after 1959 when repainted. It is seen in Piccadilly operating the unusual route '0x' used for a number of special services, in this case the Saturday afternoon service to Baguley Sanatorium.
