Manchester 3300, NNB140, a Leyland PD2/12 with Northern Counties H32/28R body is seen travelling along Piccadilly. It was the first of the batch of thirty delivered between November 1953 and June 1954. The thick central pillar at the front of the upper deck carried air from the upper saloon through a series of small holes in the upper deck ceiling panelling to the engine air intake. This was Northern Counties patented air conditioning system.
