JND635 was a H32/26R Metro-Cammell bodied Titan PD2/3 new to Manchester in 11/51.
The 90 Route (later 23) was a peak time-only service linking Manchester and Rochdale and initially had only one stop in between, at Royton. Around the time of this photo, an additional stop in Chadderton was included, but increasing traffic meant that the expected journey time of just under 50 minutes was not achievable.
Manchester's 32xx Titans often featured on the route in the late 1960s/very early 1970s and the site of these elderly buses achieving great speeds on certain sections of the route was well worth seeing!
Sorry about the slight blurring of the photo, but taking photos of moving buses on express services!
