I was wondering if you could help me. I am looking for a vintage double decker bus to hire in June 2012? My real wish is for it to be cream, white or navy. I know that that will limit my options but any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

I regret that none of the Society's vehicles are available for private hire.
I may have one or two ideas - I will e-mail you.

I am trying to find a vintage mode of transport to take about 30 ish people from church back to wedding venue in Grantham.
A routemaster bus was the obvious choice but it does not fit under the arch of a building going down the drive, so therefore not acceptable
Does anyone know of something shorter in height like a single decker bus, vintage of course.
Venue is Harlaxton Manor in Grantham
Please come to my aid

(as mentioned above) have a 1949 Dennis Lancet single decker, new to East Kent, I believe they have a second similar single decker on the road now as well.
They are happy to cover most of Lincolnshire, so may be worth contacting.

I'm getting married next year near Woodhall Spa. I've spoken to Vintage Vehicle Hire who have said this is pushing it to travel that far. Does anyone know of a vintage bus hire company within Lincolnshire?

I ' am trying to find a coach that was owned by Astons Coaches in Worc's. An A E C built for Leeds Council Reg ANW710C.

re ANW 710C - from what I can find, last known owner was Crowther (Classic Coaches) of High Wycombe. I believe they ceased operations some time ago. https://www.flickr.com/photos/45726467@N02/12093018376/
shows it in Poyle (between Staines and Slough) in 2004 but is not clear who owned it at that stage.
While the National Association of Road Transport Museums does keep a list (not been published for a few years) of vehicles owned by / associated with member museums, there is no national database of privately owned preserved vehicles.
The DVLA online enquiry site says this vehicle is not currently MOT'd (this should not always be taken at face value, as class 6 - PSV - tests are not currently shown on the computerised system.
It also says tax due in May 2001, which is not a good sign. Again, it's not always clear from the DVLA site whether a vehicle is currently taxed or subject to SORN, although if one or the other is up to date, it does suggest someone is taking an active interest in the vehicle.
That does not look encouraging.

There is a piece in B&CP mag Dec 2018 asking about this AEC
Tony Harris of Anstons of Kempsey Heritage Group is looking for it.
As has been stated Classic Coaches has long ceased trading and Brian Crowther has since died. Looks like it was parked up at Poyle pending disposal. PSV Circle still have it still listed with Crowther but with an asterisk indicating that its not been reported recently.
Looks like it may have gone for scrap, but could be in long term storage somewhere.
