Vehicle Allocations at Retford Depot, Early/Mid 1960's
From: Keith Roebuck (--@--.--) Sat 14 Feb 2015 9:54

I was born and brought up in Retford and have fond memories of the various vehicles allocated to the Grove Street Depot. They were all single deck, LS, MW, SC and the occasional L. I also remember the introduction of the first two RELL's amazingly used round the narrow streets of Hallcroft on Town Service 41.

Would anyone have any records of allocations during this period ? No's such as 2202, 2204, 2212, 2303, 2305, 2235, 2237 I seem to recall.

Happy to share memories.

LRC did produce a folded card "vehicle disposition list" (for staff use not the enthusiast world that is) - we have some in our collection - there's a 1972 copy on our Flickr page at https://www.flickr.com/photos/lvvs/sets/72157629351648682/

Not immediately sure we have any for the 60s, although we're currently trying to get our archives a bit more organised with the construction of our new archive room at the Museum...
