Hi Lawrence.

Afraid not. From memory I'm under the impression that they closed in the early 1980's.

I've no idea what happened to their records etc, in fact I only came across your post trying to research pretty much the same sort of thing as we have several showroom displays entered for auction on 6/7/09.

Hi Laurence,
I worked for JRJ Mansbridge in the early 1990s when they had become Citroen dealers. They had previously dealt in Jaguars, Daimlers, Land Rovers and Rolls Royces at their Rumbold Street garage which is now used as the Lincolnshire Archives. They then moved to a three garage site on Wragby Road where they sold Citroens, Fiats and Volvos, but only Citroens were sold under the Mansbridge name. I remember going up into the stores above the Fiat dealership and seeing it full of old Jaguar bits. In addition we sometimes ended up doing some interesting old cars including Daimler and Bentley as Mansbridge's old customer's were often very loyal to the company. If I remember correctly they closed in the mid to late 1990s. The Wragby Road site now sells furniture.

Hi Laurence.
I worked for JRJ Mansbridge during the seventies whilst it was situated on Rumbold street. I recall they merged with Gilbert's Garage near Pelham Bridge for a while.

Hello terry. I have bought a very early Range Rover first registered by Land Rover May 1970 and dispatched by the Press Department. It was then sold to JRJ Mansbridge on 26th January 1971. would you know anything about this vehicle?
Thank you. Richard
