Grimsby Cleethorpes Transport rebodied Guy Arabs

I read somewhere that some GCT Arabs received epicyclic boxes when rebodied by Roe in the fifties . Can anyone confirm - and the type of box ? Presume these were preselective units - maybe from withdrawn buses ?.
