Although Lancs United had a number of Fleetlines in service when this shot was taken the backbone of their services were still their famous Guy Arabs. Seen resting in Leigh bus station prior to heading for Manchester is 283, ETJ283F, a 1967 Guy Arab V with Northern Counties bodywork.
This was one of the last batch of Arabs bought by LUT.
