Seen in Wigan is Lancashire United 251, FTB42, which was a Leyland TD7 with a Leyland L27/26R body new in 1941.
This was one of several vehicles built on “unfrozen” chassis after the wartime regulations were relaxed, and it featured front destination displays as specified by Alexander for vehicles in their fleet, which were being built at the same time.
