Lesney Toys

The Lesney Toys staff bus fleet generally featured superannuated double deckers but even with the availability of low-height Bristol FLFs, there was a need for a single decker on one particularly restricted route. Surprisingly, the need was fulfilled with a bus supplied new to Lesney, OMK819R.
It was one of a batch of five, new to Lesney in January 1977. They were OMK 818-820/822/823R, Dodge DRG08 with Rootes B41F bodies and these details appeared in P.S.V. Circle Eastern Area News Sheets 451-EO-87 and 455-EO-140/1 (Aug/Dec 1977) where it stated that OMK821R did not exist; presumably this meant with Lesney and that it may have existed with another operator.
