Luton Corporation Leyland Titan PD2/30 with East Lancs lowbridge body 160, 160ANM, dating from 1960, being in a batch of five, 158-162 (158-162 ANM).
I seem to remember having to dodge the puddles on this miserable day at the garage, which was later in 1963 replaced by a new premises on Kingsway. Steam cleaning was going on behind, but away from, the bus.
An interesting municipal operator whose services were co-ordinated with Eastern National as from 2nd January 1949 but on 1st May 1952 the latter's operations passed to United Counties. The agreement allowed municipal buses to operate well outside their boundary. On 4th January 1970 the operations of Luton Corporation were acquired by United Counties.
