One morning journey, at 8.40 a.m., ran from Whingate to Temple Newsam (22) rather than to the usual Crossgates (18), and Leeds 134, one of the 150 Chamberlain cars built in 1926-1927, this one having an English Electric 46/26 body on E.M.B. Pivotal trucks, and entering service on 26th April 1927, is seen on the reversing stub at the Whingate terminus in Hill Top Road.
The E.M.B. Pivotal trucks had been replaced by a Peckham P.35 truck on 6th January 1949 and it last ran in service on the 3rd of March 1956, two months after this photograph was taken.
